As many as five of the 25 biggest online shops are pure electronics retailers and even 10 of the 25 Top shops exclusively sell fashion. Only the UK sticks out with three top five shops that specialize in selling food and personal care. Not only on a country perspective but also category perspective Amazon is in the pole position and can be regarded as the online retail giant for “Electronics & Media”, “Toys, Hobby & DIY”, “Furniture & Appliances” and “Food & Personal Care”.
