Top 10 online stores in Austria
Amazon, Zalando, and Universal are Austria’s top stores for physical goods by net sales
For the 10th time in a row this year, Statista and Cologne-based EHI Retail Institute have analyzed the biggest 250 online stores in Austria ranked by net sales in 2019. The study “E-Commerce-Markt Österreich 2020” (E-Commerce Market Austria 2020) is an extension of the popular and well-established market study “E-Commerce-Markt Deutschland 2020” (E-Commerce Market Germany 2020), which contains a detailed analysis of Germany’s 1,000 most successful online stores. Just like the German study, the Austrian eCommerce market analysis gives detailed insights into revenues, sales channels, and other KPIs of the most relevant eCommerce players in Germany’s neighboring country Austria.
Today, ecommerceDB.com presents to you the top 10 ranking of the newly published “E-Commerce-Markt Österreich 2020” (E-Commerce Market Austria 2020) study:
amazon.de is currently the biggest online store by net sales in Austria. The store generated net sales of €834.3 million in 2019. Second-placed zalando.at follows at a huge distance with 2019 net sales of €346.8 million. With net sales of €111.9 million, universal.at in rank 3 is again far behind zalando.at. The gaps between ranks 3 to 10 are smaller, but shop-apotheke.at – currently in rank 4 – would still need a sales plus of a good €18 million to move up into the top 3.
