eCommerce market in Lebanon

Lebanon is one of the smaller markets for eCommerce with a predicted revenue of US$58.2 million by 2025. Revenue is expected to show a compound annual growth rate (CAGR 2025-2029) of 2.7%, resulting in a projected market volume of US$64.9 million by 2029. With an expected increase of 3.3% in 2025, the Lebanese eCommerce market contributed to the worldwide growth rate of 9.8% in 2025. Like in Lebanon, global eCommerce sales are expected to increase over the next years. Seven markets are considered by ECDB within the Lebanese eCommerce market. Hobby & Leisure is the largest market and accounts for 26.4% of the Lebanese eCommerce revenue. It is followed by Electronics with 20.8%, Fashion with 16.2%, Furniture & Homeware with 11.9%, Care Products with 9.2%, DIY with 8.4%, and Grocery with the remaining 7.2%.

The online share refers to the proportion of the retail volume that is transacted via the Internet. It includes purchases via desktop PC, tablet or smartphone, both via website or app. Only retail of physical goods is taken into account. In the Lebanese retail market, the online share is 8.1% and will increase by an average of 3.6% to 9.3% by 2029.
