Clothing and Consumer Electronics Are the Main Categories for Online Shopping in Italy

The latest survey by Statista Consumer Insights reveals the most sought-after product categories among online shoppers in Italy. Clothing emerges as the clear winner, with 46% of respondents having purchased this item group online in the past 12 months. Consumer Electronics and Shoes come in second with a rate of 40% each, followed by Books, Music, Movies & Games, and Cosmetics & Body Care, which are ordered online by 38% and 29% of users respectively. Bags & Accessories and Drugstore & Health Products make up the mid-tier with a rate of 24% each, whereas Household Appliances and Food & Drinks are purchased online by 21% and 19% of respondents, respectively. The bottom of the list is occupied by Pet Products which have a purchasing rate of 17%, showing that online shopping for this product is less common among consumers in Italy.
