The Main Categories for Online Shopping in Ireland – Fashion Is Most Popular

According to Statista Consumer Insights, Clothing tops the list of preferred product categories for online shoppers in Ireland. 70% of the surveyed respondents reported making an online purchase in this category in the past 12 months, while Shoes follow at 55%. Bags & Accessories is in third place with 36%.

Consumer Electronics ranks fourth with 34% of respondents reporting an online purchase, and Cosmetics & Body Care completes the top five with 33%.

Books, Movies, Music & Games was purchased by 31% of users and Drugstore & Health Products was bought by 24% of them.

The bottom three categories on this list are Sports & Outdoor Products in a tie with Household Appliances at 23%, and Food & Drinks ranks tenth at 18%.
