Age Distribution of Online Shopping Categories in Norway

According to Statista Consumer Insights, 17% of online shoppers aged 18-24 years in Norway made online purchases in both Shoes and Bags & Accessories in the past year. These categories are followed by Cosmetics & Body Care with 16% and Clothing with 15%. Moving on, we see that 26% of online shoppers between 25 and 34 years of age indicated that they bought something online both in Bags & Accessories and Food & Drinks categories. Food & Drinks is also the most popular product category for the 35-44 age group, as 32% of online shoppers reported a purchase in this category within the past 12 months. As for the 45-54 age group, the data shows that just under one quarter of online shoppers purchased Books, Movies, Music & Games in the past year, while the same rate is a little more one fifth for the categories of Consumer Electronics, Cosmetics & Body Care, and Drugstore & Health Products. Finally, with the oldest age group, 55-64, it is reported that 21% of them have made a purchase in Drugstore & Health Products.
