As per a Statista Consumer Insights survey, the purchasing preferences of online shoppers in Sweden vary according to age. The youngest age group (18-24) prioritizes Bags & Accessories and Shoes, with 21% of them purchasing Bags & Accessories, 16% Shoes, and 14% purchasing Clothing within the last 12 months. For those aged between 25-34, purchases for Bags & Accessories and Shoes remain high at 31%, followed by Food & Drinks at 29%, and Clothing at 28%. While the shopping pattern for the 34-44 age group is similar, most online shoppers in this group bought Food & Drinks, accounting for 24% of purchases. Conversely, for online shoppers aged between 45 and 55, Sports & Outdoor Products is the most purchased category at 27%, followed by Household Appliances and Books, Movies, Music & Games at 26%. For the oldest age group surveyed (55-64), Books, Movies, Music & Games is the most purchased category at 20%, with 17% of shoppers making purchases in each of the categories: Drugstore & Health Products, Cosmetics & Body Care, and Household Appliances.
