A survey by Statista Consumer Insights reveals that a significant majority of female respondents in South Korea, around 63%, demonstrate a greater inclination towards the Bags & Accessories category and have made purchases in the past 12 months. Conversely, male respondents exhibit a greater tendency towards Consumer Electronics, with 60% of them having made purchases in the same period. An examination of gender distribution for each category also shows that Bags & Accessories is primarily purchased by women, whereas the Books, Movies, Music & Games category displays a more balanced gender split. These findings demonstrate the differing preferences and interests of male and female consumers in South Korea when it comes to online shopping.
