DHL Is the Most Popular Shipping Carrier of German Online Stores
Shipping and eCommerce are closely intertwined, as the quality of the shopping experience also depends on when and how consumers receive their orders. Which providers deliver the packages in German eCommerce?
September 10, 2024ECDB has data on the most preferred shipping service providers for online shops in Germany. For online stores in the market, DHL is the most popular choice with a 85.6% share in 2024. It slightly increased from the previous year.
This is followed by DPD, at 24.5% and UPS, which is used by 14.5% of online shops in Germany. GLS and Deutsche Post round out the list.
Our analysis is based on 3,000 German online shops for which information is known and available. It is possible that online shops use more than one carrier.
