Statista Consumer Insights conducted a recent survey with Dutch consumers, revealing that Clothing and Shoes are the most frequently returned categories, with 35% and 19% of respondents, respectively, having returned a product within the past year.
Consumer Electronics, Bags & Accessories, both with 8%, and Household Appliances with 7% follow as the next highest categories. In contrast, DIY & Garden Products, Toys & Baby Products, Pet Products, and Stationery & Hobby Supplies were returned least often at 3%.
Moreover, almost half (47%) of surveyed online shoppers didn't return anything in the past year. These insights provide valuable information on Dutch online shopper behavior and can aid online retailers in improving their services and understanding their customers better.
