Super App Integration: Tinaba's integration of Alipay+ Mini Programs marks its transformation into a Super App, allowing users to access a wide range of services within a single platform, from payments to shopping.
Rising Popularity: Originally popular in Asia, super apps consolidate multiple services into one platform, simplifying users' digital experience and offering developers a space to create Mini Programs without the need for separate apps.
Tinaba, in partnership with Banca Profilo, has become the first European fintech to integrate the Alipay+ Mini Program solution. The collaboration is designed to transform Tinaba into a Super App, an all-in-one digital platform that provides a wide range of services, including payments, shopping, and more, within a single app.
Super apps, originally popularized in Asia, offer an open platform for third-party developers to create and publish Mini Programs. This streamlines the user experience by eliminating the need for multiple separate applications.
New Opportunities for
Merchants and Developers
The first Mini Program available on Tinaba is Tiqets, an online platform for booking tickets to over 4,000 museums and attractions worldwide. More Mini Programs expected to roll out soon.

Alipay+ Mini Program Growth
The successful integration of Mini Programs into Tinaba comes as Alipay's platform continues to expand its reach in China. This growth is reflected in the steady increase in the number of monthly active users of Alipay Mini Programs over recent years:
Steady User Growth: Between 2020 and 2024, Alipay Mini Programs have consistently maintained a strong user base, with monthly active users growing from 602 million in September 2020 to 661 million by May 2024.
Notable Spike in 2022: The highest jump occurred in 2022, with active users increasing to 668 million by September that year.
Sustained Expansion: Despite some fluctuations, the platform continues to see consistent growth, with 654 million monthly active users in September 2023 and further increases projected as new services like those available on Tinaba are introduced globally.
Cross-Border Payments & Future Growth
Tinaba’s integration with Alipay+ expands cross-border payment functionality, allowing users to make mobile payments at Alipay+ merchants in 27 countries. This mirrors similar innovations in Asia, where Alipay+ has been adopted by providers like AlipayHK and GCash.
Tinaba officials highlighted that the partnership enhances the app’s capabilities, providing international travelers with streamlined expense management, exclusive discounts, and competitive exchange rates. The collaboration is expected to drive further digital payment innovations in Europe, offering users secure and efficient transactions both domestically and abroad.
